The tape is laying on the kitchen table as Dean walks into the kitchen. Chelsea says she doesn’t understand him. They have Sean right where they want him. She wonders why he would want to go to the police. Dean says it’s what they agreed on. She thinks they should destroy it. Kevin and Carly walk in. Carly picks up the tape and wonders what it is. Dean quickly grabs it. Carly says eww from your private stash? Dean doesn’t respond. Kevin goes on about Kathleen Turner in Body Heat. Chelsea says it’s for Preeti. Carly tells Chelsea that she is trying and can she at least meet her halfway. Chelsea tells her maybe she should stop acting as nothing has happened. Carly and Kevin head off to breakfast. Dean tries to take the tape from Chelsea. She reckons they should destroy it. Chelsea says she’ll hand it in on her way to work. She is facing away from Dean, and her face doesn’t look that convincing.
Ian is on the phone as Jane is setting the table. He says he’s just taken the first steps to working out his troubled daughter. Lucy asks if he’s talking about her again. Ian says to her “I have two words for you: Rose Park.” It’s a private school, and they have an interview this afternoon. Jane is upset as they haven’t even talked it through yet. Ian says that it is a top private school and she’ll get the best education money can buy. The session starts in two weeks. Lucy says she has her own school to go to next week. She bets he wouldn’t pack mini me off to boarding school. Ian says that is because he behaves himself. Lucy says anything is better than being spineless drips like the two of them. Jane calls after her.
Ben is missing his Dad. Peggy covers for why Phil is not home yet. She promises him that he is just looking after some business and will be home in a couple of days.
Dean burst into the salon and starts searching around. Chelsea asks him what he thinks he’s doing. He tells her that he is looking for the tape as it’s obvious she’s not going to turn it in. He tells her he is not going to keep sitting at home waiting to see what Sean does next. She tells him that it is under control. He says “You know what? You’ve been calling the shots right from the beginning. Do you even care what happens to me?” Chelsea grabs his face and says “of course I do.” She says they can’t just walk into the police department because they will know it was them. She says that as soon as she gets off of work, she will post it anonymously in the mail.
Peggy is cleaning and tosses Roxy’s underwear at her. Ronnie walks in stretching and yawning. Peggy has a go at her about her “early” start to the day. She says it’s no wonder she came back to such a pigsty if this is what they consider an early start is. She thinks it’s a good thing she came back when she did. She suspects they’ll be leaving soon anyway. Roxy says they were thinking of staying a few extra days. Ronnie says they can stick around until Phil comes back. Peggy says it’s not a hotel. She wants Phil to come home to a clean room, sheets, and milk in the fridge. Ronnie says with him gone they can stay and help. Peggy is not convinced she needs their help.
Ian tells Jane he knows that she thinks he is being extreme sending Lucy off to boarding school. She’ll thank them in a few years when she’s making application to Oxford. He wonders when Jane is going to go get ready. He grimaces. She says they aren’t going to visit the Queen. He tells her they aren’t, but they need to make a good impression. He tells her to go put on that new dress and while she’s at it to put her hair up. Jane stomps up the stairs. Upstairs Lucy is blogging.
Ronnie is on the phone making arrangements. Peggy walks in and says that she’s shocked the books are in order and profits are up. Ronnie tells her not to sound so surprised. Roxy lays breakfast in front of them. Peggy notes they may be cracking barmaids but domestic goddesses they ain’t.
Ian hurries Jane up. He asks Lucy what she’s doing. She tells him that she is coming. He tells her no way you have no interest in the school, so he knows what she’s up to. Lucy tells them to drive safely. He tells her not to think he’s going to change his mind.
Peggy has to rush out for a bit. Ronnie and Roxy tell her not to worry they have everything under control. She tells them Ben is watching a DVD so they’ll not have a peep out of him.
Chelsea is trying to mail the package and wants it to go by the slowest way possible. Denise comes in. Shabnam tells Chelsea that she is holding the lineup. Denise tries to help, but Chelsea hurries out.
Hazel and Minty are in the cafe when Garry walks in. Garry is grossed out. Hazel begs him to come home. He says no way. Peggy comes in and says she understands now why the arches are not open. Minty and Garry try to cover. They say that at least Billy knows he’s having a good t time. She is curious if Billy has heard from Phil. Minty says yes he thinks so. Peggy tells them both not to think for one minute that she won’t tell Phil about their slacking off.
Libby is on the sofa smelling Darren’s sweatshirt. Denise comes in and catches her. Libby wonders how he could do that to her, not tell her he wasn’t coming back. Denise tells her that he’s a teenage boy. She says she is going to stay with her instead of going to her course. Libby tells her that she should go. Denise tells her that she has her mobile so if they need her to call. Denise tells her that she reckons if she opens her exam results she might feel better. Libby isn’t sure. Denise tries to make Libby feel better, and Libby thinks all she cares about is the exam results.
Carly runs into Preeti and Chelsea as they are heading to lunch. Carly says she hopes Preeti enjoys the film. Preeti is confused. Chelsea grabs Preeti’s arm and hurries off.
Ian and Jane are sitting outside the Head Mistresses office. Ian tells Jane he thought she was going to put her hair up. Jane scoffs at him. Miss Clark comes out to get them. Ian is suddenly posh. She tells them to come through. Jane whispers to him that he may want to play all ladida she won’t. He tells her that he will do all the talking.
Chelsea and Preeti chat at lunch. Preeti wonders if Sean will go down for life. Chelsea tells her she wouldn’t know.
Miss Clark, Ian, and Jane are sitting. Ian in his posh accent says “we were just saying how impressive the school is. The grounds are remarkable.” Miss Clark says that they are a school that prides themselves in appearance and they offer the best extracurricular activities as well. Ian says it sounds just like the sort of school their Lucinda needs. Jane side eyes Ian.
Libby walks up and finds Patrick sitting on the bench. They chat about how fear keeps us from moving forward in life.
Gus is reading his poetry in the Vic while Garry drinks his beer. Garry thinks its soppy. Gus tells him that it is excellent that Minty and his mom got together. Garry thinks it’s horrible. Garry says anyone else he’d support. Gus tells him to grow up. He should be happy that the two people he cares the most about love one another.
Billy comes into the Vic. Peggy is so happy to see him. She asks him how Phil is. Billy says it sounds like he’s well. He recites the postcard that Phil sent. Peggy gets frustrated because he hasn’t actually spoken to him.
Ian is going on about how he owns a trendy bistro and is accustomed to the finest of foods. She has been raised on the best organically grown produce. Miss Clark asks Ian why they made such a late application. Jane starts by telling her that Lucy has been a bit difficult lately. Ian interrupts and says that what his wife means is that Lucinda school curriculum hasn’t been challenging enough for her. He says that they, along with the school don’t know what to do with her at this point. Miss Clark says it’s unfortunate that his daughter couldn’t be there today for the interview. Ian says that Lucinda insisted that she not miss her cello practice. She’s very musical. Miss Clark says that it has been interesting to meet them both and she will be in touch. Ian goes on about how delighted they are and how delighted Lucinda will be. He wonders if she will be forwarding on the information. Miss Clark tells him that they will have to meet Lucinda. Ian says “you what errm but why?” Miss Clark says that when placing a new girl in the school, they consider many factors. Ian wonders like what. Jane tells him lets go, they’ll be in touch. Ian says that he’d like to make a sizable donation to the school. Miss Clark says that she suspects that Lucy is a highly-spirited and independent young woman. We welcome such girls. However, there is not a big enough donation to suffer you in the years before she graduates. Ian’s face is priceless as he puts his checkbook back in his coat.
Denise is writing Libby a note as she walks in. She tells her that she didn’t mean to make her feel sad about Darren. She just wants her to know she didn’t want her to lose sight of her future either because of her pain. Libby tells her that she’s excited. Denise is so excited she almost opens it herself. Libby grabs it says, MUM! They giggle as they start to open them.
Preeti and Chelsea are walking when Chelsea gets cross with Preeti. As they are arguing a boy grabs Chelsea’s bag and runs off. She screams.
Libby has aced her exams! She and Denise scream with glee! Libby doesn’t know why she was so nervous. She asks her mum to keep the crying into the jumper between them.
Chelsea is freaking out as she realizes what she’s lost. Preeti is trying to calm her down but tells her that she is stressing her out from being so stressed. Gus comes up, and Preeti tells him that Chelsea was mugged. Gus says they need to report it to the police straight away. He asks if she had anything valuable in her bag. Chelsea says only the tape. Preeti asks if it was the one for her. Chelsea starts to say it wasn’t for her then says yes.
In the Vic Peggy is run off her feet it is so busy. She calls for Ronnie and Roxie. When they appear, they have their bags, and Peggy is shocked. She wonders where they are off to. They remind her that they were asked to leave. She tells them to stay. Ronnie and Roxy have a secret smile.
Dean tells Chelsea this is bad. He says they should have never lied in the first place. She reminds him it’s a little late to have a stream of conscious. She says that if they’d done it her way the tape would have been destroyed. She tells him that if it comes out whatever comes to her, she will make sure it comes to him.
Garry walks into the flat, and there is a mess all over. Hazel and Minty are giggling. Garry reads them the riot act that they can’t be behaving like that with him back. Hazel and Minty are over the moon.
Gus gives Carly the handbag that was taken from Chelsea. Carly looks in it and says they’ve taken her purse but left a tape. She thanks Gus and says that Chelsea owes him a drink.
Peggy sits at the kitchen table and looks very worried.
Ian is explaining to Lucy why she won’t be going to boarding school just yet. She tells him that she will be better and they make up. They hug.
Carly is going through the bag while Kevin is on the sofa with her. She pulls out the tape. Kevin tells her that they should make an afternoon of it and sends her off for popcorn. He puts the film. Out on the square, a hooded figure walks out of the gate. Kevin watches, and it’s the CTV tape from the shop and shows that Sean didn’t hurt Patrick at all. The hooded figure walks up to another hooded figure in the park. It’s Lucy. As Kevin is watching the film, he sees a hooded figure with a bat come in and hit Patrick. He backs the film up and pauses to see that it is Craig.
Meanwhile, in the park the other hooded figure stands up wearing the same jumper. It’s Craig. Lucy asks him to admit he missed her. He grabs her face and says of course he did.
