Jean moves in with Stacy at Dot’s due to refitting her kitchen.
Carly grabs the post and Denise wants to know who ate her bacon. Carly is reading a letter. Pat tells Denise she cooked it for Steven as she couldn’t send him off without breakfast. Denise wonders why it had to be her bacon and why he couldn’t clear up after himself. Pat says she’ll do the clearing up. Kevin comes into the kitchen, and Carly hands him the letter explaining Deano is counting down the days until his release.
Back at Dot’s Stacy and Jean chat about the timing and why she had to move out. It seems the dirt, the dust, and noise are all too much for Jean. Stacey’s phone rings and it’s Bradley. She tells him if he doesn’t get it sorted she won’t bother coming to work. Jean promises they won’t even know she is there.
Bradley is on the market, policing everyone. Steven has a snide remark for Bradley. Billy gives Bradley some pushback about the rules. He tells him he should talk to Ian. Denise walks by Steven’s stall and asks him if he enjoyed the bacon.
Jane is trying to talk to Monique about her crush on Steven. Monique is whinging about how no one understands. She knows they think he’s too old for her and she is too young for him, but she doesn’t care. Jane reminds her that this exchange visit is supposed to be fun. She says she does not want fun. Fun is for kids. Peter, Lucy, and Monique head off for school. Ian tells Jane he’s just run into Steven on the market. He has half a mind to go down to the police and call Steven’s bluff. Jane reminds him that they are in this together and she can help at the cafe.
Lucy and Lauren are talking about Monique. Lauren asks Lucy if she is sure Monique isn’t into Peter since she is waiting on him. Monique makes a kissy face at Steven. Peter comes out, and she turns down what he bought and says he can do her a favor.
Stacey is putting up a reduction sign, and Steven tells her it looks like a challenge. She tells him it is. Jane comes out, and Steven asks her how she is feeling. She ignores him, and he yells out that he is sorry.
Shirley is nursing a severe hangover. Heather tries to help, but Shirley is agitated. Heather asks her if she is working at the Vic today. Shirley wonders why she wants to know. Heather tells her she might visit her. Shirley grumbles and Heather says she will take that as she is working.
Kevin brings in a bacon sandwich for Denise. She refuses it. Denise is cross with Kevin for suggesting that she apologize to Pat.
Dawn is walking along and sees the advert for help at R&R.
Phil comes into the car lot. He has words with Darren about keeping quiet about what he knows. Kevin comes in and offers them the sandwich. Kevin is grumpy.
Jean calls Stacey and lets her know that her case has arrived. Jean is going through it and making a right mess in the sitting room. She tells Stacey she is sorting her washing. She finds the camera.
Steven takes a verbal swing at Stacey for not selling much of her stock. Ian walks past Steven and smiles. Steven wonders what that is about. Ian tells him he’ll find out soon enough.
Ian walks into the cafe, and Jane tells him it was a mistake for her to work. She’s in pain. Ian tells her to put her feet up. He’s walking out and sees the CCTV and asks her to give him just a few more minutes. He calls after Bradley for a quick word.
Stacey tries to stop Jean from doing her washing. Jean sees a Beach Boys shirt at Steven’s stall. She asks Stacey for a tenner. Stacey says no. Steven gives her the shirt for Stacey to pay him back.
Dawn comes into the Vic to inquire about the job advert at the new club. She and Shirley bicker about who is better suited for the job. Phil tells them neither of them would be in the running. Dawn tells Shirley she is not what they will be looking for. Vince says he’s fond of prunes. Shirley wonders what he’s doing there. She asks Tracy to serve him. She walks up to Kevin and tries to pretend they are an item. Heather explains to Vince it’s her ex-husband and usually, they hate each other. Shirley and Kevin are chatting, and he asks her when the last time she visited Deano. They argue about it.
Jean is in the front room ironing and picks up the camera. She is watching it, and the phone rings. She throws the camera, and it is damaged.
Monique asks Lauren to do her a favor.
Jane asks where Monique is and where all her stuff is. Lucy tells her she doesn’t know. Jane finds a note. Monique is buying a ticket home. Lauren delivers a note to Steven. It reads, “I will always love you-M.” Lauren walks up to Peter on the square and asks him what he is doing. He wonders what she’s doing. They decide to do nothing together.
Steven comes in and gives Denise a pack of bacon and apologizes. Pat tells him that a box arrived for him from New Zealand. She figures his dad sent his stuff over.
Vince tells Shirley he isn’t leaving until she hears him out.
Kevin comes in and wonders what Steven is doing. Carly tells Kevin that it’s like a rejection letter. Steven is sorting through and pulls out a snow globe from London. Steven yells out, “How could he!” Pat comes out and wonders if her family is just nuts. The phone rings and Carly tells Kevin it’s for him from the prison. He listens and seems upset.
Ian and Jane discuss Monique’s disappearance. Jane tells him not to worry as she’d already called her mum and she’ll be met on the other side. Bradley comes over and asks to speak to Ian. He hands him a tape.
Lauren and Peter are talking on the bench about what a strange date it was. Peter asks her if it was a date. She tells him it was. Lauren gets a text from her mum and says she should come home. She says she’ll see him tomorrow.
Shirley and Vince come out, and Kevin walks up and tells her that Dean is in the prison hospital.
Ian plays the tape and discovers Steven trashed his stall.
