Dot is anxious to as she knows Stacey would have melted if she\u2019d heard what he was saying. Dot starts to confess to Bradley that she heard him practicing but Jim tells on her. She asks when he will ask Stacey. Bradley says tonight. Bradley says he has a table booked but to please keep it a secret. Jim says it will be impossible for Dot to keep it in.<\/p>\n<p>Carly is sneaking out of Sean\u2019s as Chelsea pulls up in her cab. Chelsea asks if she\u2019s been anywhere fun. Carly says that she\u2019s just out for a walk. Chelsea says more like a walk of shame.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley is worried Stacey might say no. Jim agrees and says if she said no to Paris she might say no to marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea goes on about how she\u2019s been out with a Footballer. Carly asks what his name is but Chelsea says she can\u2019t say in case the tabloids get ahold of it. Carly rolls her eyes. Chelsea asks Carly about Sean, but Carly tells her she stayed at Dawn\u2019s for a girly night.<\/p>\n<p>Heather comes into the caf\u00e9 and thanks Jane for the help yesterday. Ian comes in and tells Jane at least she hasn\u2019t abandoned the business. She says just because he\u2019s in a suit doesn\u2019t mean she\u2019s going to marry him. He says that he doesn\u2019t want to marry her either, Leslie! Jane balks.<\/p>\n<p>Stacey is having a go at Mo for eating the trifle. Mo yells at her \u201chow was I supposed to know it was for your fancy dinner\u201d and Stacey responds \u201cwell how did she think it got there the refrigerator fairies?\u201d Mo screams at her it was only a poxy trifle. Stacey screams back that it was an important poxy trifle. They continue to scream at each other. Mo then blames Bradley because it was his dinner. \u00a0A young man and woman approach Stacey with a pamphlet that would help her spiritual side. She glares at him.<\/p>\n<p>Ian asks Jane if she has an explanation. Jane says she asked him not to look at the papers. He says he knows why now. He\u2019s waiting he says. Jane tells him he\u2019ll be waiting a long time.<\/p>\n<p>Peggy says she\u2019s had about all she can stand, Pat is stealing her punters. Shirley says that the place could do with a bit of livening up, that she should get some entertainment in. Peggy tells her it\u2019s not a joke. Shirley tells her to get a looker behind the bar. Peggy scoffs and says she has one! Me!<\/p>\n<p>Lucy tells Ian this one for the books for him, getting dumped before the wedding. Peter asks him if everything will be alright though. Ian tells him it will. Pat lectures Ian about not being childish and losing the best thing that has ever happened to him. Pat tells him to get his act together and fast.<\/p>\n<p>Sean asks Chelsea if she\u2019s tired. She says of course, but that is footballers for you. Sean tells her he\u2019s tired as well after a raunchy night with Carly. Chelsea tells him that she\u2019 so embarrassed she\u2019s slept with him that Carly is not telling anyone about it. Sean tells Chelsea that\u2019s because Carly isn\u2019t the type of girl who goes around sharing all that. Other girls are just cheap. Chelsea turns around and orders tea. It\u2019s clear Sean\u2019s words have stung.<\/p>\n<p>Ian is calling Jane, who is in the park.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea tells Preeti that she let on that she\u2019d slept with a footballer. Preeti calls her out and says \u201cbut you didn\u2019t.\u201d Chelsea says yes, but she doesn\u2019t have to know that. When Preeti starts to make up an elaborate scenario of their evening, Chelsea tells Preeti that she didn\u2019t cop one. So Preeti starts to tell a different scenario and Chelsea is rude again. Preeti takes it and they see Carly comes in. So, they play it up and Chelsea works to get under Carly\u2019s skin.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley\u2019s found the perfect ring for Stacey. He shows Dot, and she thinks it\u2019s perfect. He says he has to figure out how to get her out to dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Ian finally finds Jane in the park. He asks her who she is Jane or Leslie. She tells him not to worry she\u2019s not some murderer. Ian tells her he\u2019s sorry about hurting her yesterday. They\u2019ve been through so much, surely, she can share why she never told him.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley finds Stacey. She\u2019s cranky because Mo abandoned her and she\u2019s knackered. He invites her to dinner, but she says she is having dinner with her Mum. He asks if she could postpone it. She says no she can\u2019t, her mum is excited.<\/p>\n<p>Jane tells Ian about her childhood and how she was overweight and being bullied. She says that one of the kids latched on to her name, a boy\u2019s name for a girl built like a boy. She was made to be miserable wishing she looked different, wishing she wasn\u2019t Leslie. She said when she finally got out of there her first day at her new job they asked her name and she said Jane, her middle name. She then goes on to say that when she saw how cruel Ian and others were to Heather, it brought it all back.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley comes in to see Dot again. Dot suggests that he go with Stacey to see her Mum. He says that is not a good idea. Then Dot asks him what else he could do?<\/p>\n<p>Ian apologizes for the way he acted and that he doesn\u2019t care how she looks or if her name is Jane of Leslie. That he loves her and always will. That she is beautiful and he loves her the way she is. Jane says she\u2019s not sure what she\u2019s done to deserve him. He says they can still make it to the registry. Jane says \u201cwhat about the kids?\u201d Ian says not to worry.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley arrives at Stacey\u2019s mums. She\u2019s thrilled to see him. She offers him a cup of tea but then remembers her kettle is on the blink. She says isn\u2019t this nice. She says Stacey is coming later. It\u2019s such a shame that the two of them didn\u2019t work out, Jean says. Bradley says that\u2019s actually what he\u2019s there to talk to her about. He tells her that her kettle needs a fuse and Jean scurries off to find one.<\/p>\n<p>Ian is running and Jane is following. Ian stops to propose, and they take off running again.<\/p>\n<p>Jean says she can phone Stacey and invite her over. Bradley says he wants to talk to her about something. He tells Jean he\u2019s arranged a special dinner for Stacey. Jean is so happy they are back together. They sit down, and Jean says they should have been married off ages ago. Bradley says he\u2019s going to do that tonight. Jean says he so should, and she\u2019s so thrilled he\u2019s going to be her son-in-law. She says that Stacey will be happy with him. Bradley says that Stacey means the world to him. He shows her the ring. Jean gets teary and says it\u2019s beautiful. She tells him he should have flowers, sunflowers, Stacey\u2019s favorite. He asks Jean to cancel tonight, and she says she is looking forward to it. She gets it and grabs the phone to call Stacey. Bradley coaches her on what to say as not to give it away. Jean is a bit of a mess on the phone, but she gets it done. Bradley\u2019s phone rings and he says he\u2019s got to go. He leaves, and Jean is beaming.<\/p>\n<p>Ian and Jane run into the registry. They are just in time but no witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley meets up with Stacey. They make plans to meet up later since she tells him that her mum has canceled. Dot asks Bradley how his big day is going. They tell him to keep his nerve because asking someone to marry you is a big deal. The young man who offered a pamphlet to Stacey comes into the launderette. Dot invites them round for tea.<\/p>\n<p>Ian and Jane have Heather and some guy from the meat market as their witness as they get married.<\/p>\n<p>Dot schools the young man on how he is going door to door spreading the gospel. Bradley and Stacey are getting ready for their night out. As Dot continues to school, the young man Stacey comes around, and Bradley gives her a bouquet of sunflowers. Dot says she\u2019s just taking these two through the ins and outs of righteousness. Stacey leaves her flowers with Dot. Dot continues to school the young man and woman.<\/p>\n<p>Ian and Jane thank Heather and Norm from meat at the butcher shop. Ian says he can\u2019t believe they had Laurel and Hardy as their witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley calls out to Peggy. Mo is the only one in the pub. Peggy thinks they all must be over at Pats<\/p>\n<p>Stacey asks Bradley to go ahead and talk about Paris since he seems to be itching to do so. He says that is not it. As he begins to talk she tells him to hold that thought.<\/p>\n<p>Ian and Jane share their first official kiss as they share the news with the kids and Pat. The kids think the kiss is gross.<\/p>\n<p>Sean stands Carly up. Shirley asks her if she is alright. Shirley asks Peggy if she can get off early. Peggy says no it might get busy. Shirley tells her she needs to do something about Pat. Peggy smiles as the police come in. She tells Shirley she already has.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley is looking very ill. He asks the waiter if there were nuts in the curry. The waiter says yes. Bradley is having a reaction. He runs off as he grabs his medicine. Stacey chases after.<\/p>\n<p>The police knock on the bookie&#8217;s door after pulling up with their sirens. Peggy is running to see the action. Pat answers and lets the police in. The place is filled with smoke and men reading books. Peggy rushes in and tells them that Pat is up to no good, they\u2019ve got to look. Pat says she doesn\u2019t want to waste anymore of their time. They leave with Peggy. The door closes and they all toss their books and rip off the tablecloths to expose card games and drinks get served again.<\/p>\n<p>Stacey and Bradley are walking back and he\u2019s feeling better. They are giggling and stop for a kiss in the square. Bradley says \u201cit\u2019s moments like this, you and me, lovely night like this. \u00a0I\u2019ve got something to say to you. I love you Stace\u201d Stacey says that is lovely, fancy a drink. He says hold on a minute.
